The English Electric Wren is a celebration of early aviation ingenuity — a feather-light machine built for efficiency, elegance, and the quiet joy of flight. Recreated in meticulous detail, this MSFS version captures the Wren’s unmistakable character: its slim fuselage, high-aspect wing, and the iconic open cockpit that puts you face-to-face with the sky. Every rivet, cable is modelled to bring this 1920s ultralight to life with authenticity and charm.
Born for the 1923 Lympne Trials, a government-backed competition to encourage affordable, fuel-efficient aircraft, the Wren was engineered to do more with less — to coax meaningful flight from the smallest possible powerplant. It proved its brilliance by achieving extraordinary endurance on minimal fuel, establishing itself as one of the most distinctive designs of the era.
